Smart Girls in Long Skirts

As I've said here before, my sister has been scanning my grandmother's entire photo collection for our family to have access to.  Up until now, it's all been pictures of us grand kids (mostly from the 80s), but she recently emailed me a bunch of photographs of my Grandmother as a teenager/ in her early 20s. I thought sharing them here would totally count as a Smart Girls in Long skirts post.  Today is her birthday, she would have been 81.  So I'm posting these today in memory.  Happy birthday, Mama! I miss you so much.

  2. I love looking back through the old pictures of my grandparents - my G-ma had these really pointy 1950's style glasses for ages! My Mum had a Princess Leia hair do in the 70s when she was at Upper School. Then there's how much my uncle and my brother look alike.

  3. My uncle recently burned one of my Grandpa's old films onto dvds and distributed them at a family get-together. It shows my Grandpa and Dad building a garden house from scratch. It also features my aunts and uncles in their twenties. Even my Great-Grandfather is in there. It's one of my most treasured possessions!
